ASHP Foundation Cocktail Reception: Honoring Donors and Recognizing Excellence in Residency Training and Research

Wind down your day by joining the ASHP Foundation for our annual cocktail reception. Network with your colleagues over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as you meet and mingle with our Literature Award recipients and Pharmacy Residency Excellence Award honorees and learn more about the ASHP Foundation.

The reception is also our opportunity to thank our wonderful donors, whose gifts fund health-services research, leadership development, and educational programs that support ASHP priorities and promote improved health outcomes for patients. We also honor our awardees, whose work represents the best in research and resident training.

During our annual Match Campaign to Move Pharmacy Forward, tax-deductible contributions from individuals to the Foundation's Annual Fund made between Oct. 1 – Dec. 31 are matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $60,000, with support from many of our generous partners: Omnicell, Samson Medical Technologies, Chiesi, Fresenius Kabi, and QuVa Pharma.

Pharmacy on the Move 5K Fun Run & Walk

Don’t miss out! The ASHP Foundation invites all 2024 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition attendees in New Orleans to the 2nd ASHP Foundation Pharmacy on the Move 5K Fun Run & Walk. Step out from the meeting spaces to enjoy a fun event – all while making an impact by raising funds to help move pharmacy forward. Bond with your colleagues, prioritize your health and well-being, and celebrate the pharmacy profession.

The event will occur at the Woldenberg Riverfront Park (adjacent to Audubon Aquarium). The event starts at 6:00 a.m., so you can participate before the main education sessions at the Midyear.

And even more exciting, we will have team competitions and prizes! Form a team with your friends and colleagues, and get ready for a fun and spirited competition. We will award prizes to the team that raises the most money and to the team with the most registered participants.

Packet Pick Up
All race registrants will get a packet with a Pharmacy on the Move 5K Fun Run & Walk T-shirt and bib. We recommend you wear your t-shirt during the run/walk to demonstrate unity and teamwork across our pharmacy profession. You can pick up your packet at:

• Monday, Dec. 9, from 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. in the New Orleans Convention Center
• Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the event starting at 5:30 a.m. at Woldenberg Park

Don't Miss Our Scavenger Hunt!

Access the scavenger hunt during the 2024 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition (the “Meeting”) from your mobile device. To participate, download the ASHP LIVE! app to your mobile device.

Available for iOS or Android.

• Requires iOS 12.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
• Requires Android 6.0 and up.

Once you have downloaded the app and registered, access the scavenger hunt from the home screen, then follow the below steps:

• Open the scavenger hunt icon, located on the home screen of the app, to view the list of participating companies in the exhibit hall during the Meeting. The Midyear Exhibit Hall is open on the following days and times:
  • Monday, Dec. 9, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 10, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 11, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Visit each participating Exhibit Hall booth and scan the QR code to answer the multiple-choice question correctly to earn points. One completed visit equals 100 points.
• Points earned will be automatically tallied. After the Exhibit Hall closes on Wednesday, Dec. 6, the top ten (10) participants* who obtain the highest total points will each win a $25.00 Amazon gift card. The ten winners will each be notified by email.

*In case of a tie, the first 10 participants on the leaderboard will be chosen in order. All meeting attendees are eligible to participate.
