Welcome Attendees

We are excited you will be joining us at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans in less than a week. Please read this page for valuable information to help you prepare for and get the most out of the 2024 Midyear meeting, including meeting badge pick-up locations, transportation, wi-fi access, activities, and events. If you need assistance once you arrive to the convention center, look for ASHP staff, all in blue.

ASHP LIVE! App

Download the ASHP LIVE! App from the App-Store for iOS or Google Play for Android.

You will be prompted to log in with your registration email address and registration ID (provided in your confirmation email). For the best experience, install the app before arriving in New Orleans.

Use the website and app to:

Create your own schedule and explore detailed session and event info
Browse faculty, poster, and attendee listings
Access session materials and take notes directly on the slides
Receive important updates and announcements

Note: If you have installed the ASHP LIVE! app for a previous event, it is recommended that you delete it from your device and reinstall it to take advantage of the most current functionality and bug fixes.

Getting Around

By Foot
Arrive early to sessions and give yourself ''walk'' time to allow for visiting with friends and colleagues and for navigating the convention center. Join the Midyear Step Challenge to enjoy some healthy competition while working your way up the leaderboard and earning chances to win prizes.
By Shuttle
Saturday, December 7 - Thursday, December 12
Shuttle service is provided from hotels to the convention center. To view the details including the schedule and boarding locations, click on the Shuttle tile on the ASHP LIVE! app or view it here.
Via Big Easy Express
With a simple flag down, attendees can hop aboard the Big Easy Express, a golf cart shuttle that runs back and forth along the convention center’s outdoor pedestrian walkway and enjoy a comfortable ride to different points of the center. Two golf carts will operate daily during official meeting hours and space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Depending on your Saturday schedule, you may want to either build in a little extra travel time or make time to observe this world class parade, beginning at 11 a.m.

What to Pack and Wear

Reusable water bottles enable attendees to make use of convenient water refill stations.
Business casual attire is appropriate for ASHP national meetings.
A Midyear meeting badge is required for entrance to all official ASHP events and should be removed outside the convention center.
Comfortable shoes are essential for navigating the meeting and exploring the city.
A sweater or dressing in layers will prepare you for cool temperatures in hotels and convention centers.

Badge Pick Up

Skip the lines and pick up your registration materials as soon as you arrive! Be sure to bring your registration barcode email, sent when you registered for the meeting and will also be resent by the end of this week. Simply scan your barcode, pick up your badge, and be on your way.

Choose from three convenient satellite locations or main registration in the convention center: Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, Hilton New Orleans Riverside, or New Orleans Marriott (on Canal Street). Check the ASHP LIVE! app for exact location and hours.
